Virtual Risk Manager® - Airbrakes delivers state of the art driver training directly to your door. The training is based on recognized sources from industry experts. The program is a web-based interactive experience with instructional animations and a narrator to guide your drivers through the program (especially important if your driver's first language is not English). Drivers and mechanics will find the point-and-click navigation easy to use for even the novice computer user.
Program components...
• Training Needs Analysis
Users first take a short but comprehensive assessment of their air brakes and brake adjustment knowledge in order to identify training needs.
• Training Modules
Up to fifteen learning modules are available ranging from air brake system basics to comprehensive brake adjustment training. Users are guided to modules based on the results of their individual training needs analysis.
• Final Knowledge Assessment
Confirms that information is understood and demonstrates proficiency in air brake knowledge. The system then generates a certificate upon completion
The air brake program is a component of the Virtual Risk Manager® system. This system, a partnership between Zurich Services Corporation and Interactive Driving Systems®, is a complete risk management solution comprised of driver risk assessment, training and performance management tools. |
A recent study by the U.S. government found:
'Brake deficiencies are identified as a factor in 29.4 percent of all serious truck crashes that involve a fatality or injury. Surprisingly, this is greater than any other single driver factor listed in the study.1 (March 2006)'.
Considering these findings, the need for brake training is essential to increase driver, mechanic and roadside safety enforcement officer knowledge of air brake systems.
Education on air brake systems is the key to eliminating crashes caused by brake defects, safety violations and costly roadside brake repairs. |
