EU-OSHA e-guide on vehicle safety at work launched
After several years in development, the EU-OSHA e-guide on vehicle safety (VeSafe) and driving at work has been launched, providing a range of good practices. It also identifies that the vehicle is part of the workplace under Safety Framework Directive 89/391/EEC. This requires employers to evaluate the risks to the health and safety of their workers and take the necessary control measures. VeSafe can be accessed via:

NIOSH guidance on vehicle safety features
Our friends at the NIOSH Center for Motor Vehicle Safety, part of the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has an excellent blog on work-related road safety. Recently, they authored a feature on semi-autonomous vehicles, which employers can use to help workers become familiar with safety features in fleet vehicles, and when selecting vehicles with advanced safety features.
